Tour description

A private spa is nice, but a private Arctic spa is way cooler! Step into our lakeside sauna and embrace the Finnish sauna culture, which is almost sacred to the locals. In the land of ice and snow, this is the one place you won’t feel cold! As throwing water onto the stove affects how hot it's going to get, this experience is also suitable for kids – as an old Finnish saying goes: 'Whosoever holds the sauna ladle has the power.' A reinvigorating cold plunge into Lake Olkka completes the experience.

This activity does not include transportation.

The temperature of the sauna depends on the amount of water thrown onto the stove. For a milder experience, children can opt for the lower bench where it's cooler.

Feel free to enter the sauna either nude or with a towel; kindly refrain from wearing swimsuits inside.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:
- Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you arrive by car:
- You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
- Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
- Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
- Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
