Huskies are one of the most loved animals of the north, and you will understand why when you meet the pack at Apukka. You can pet them, pose for photos with them and listen to stories about the life of the huskies. They love pulling loads and running on the trails across the forests.
The highlight of the day is the 7–10 km long safari, where you get to be the musher yourself, in other words, control the team of huskies towing the sled.
Please arrive at the meeting point on time. The Apukka Shuttle Bus leaves the bus stop at the given times and will not wait if someone is late. In case you are late, no refunds can be applied to your tour. We recommend you arrive at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before the pick-up time.

Our location is only 18 km (a 20-minute drive) from the city of Rovaniemi, 12 km (a 15-minute drive) from Rovaniemi airport, and 8 km (a 10-minute drive) from Santa’s Village.
Apukka Resort stands in the embrace of two wilderness lakes amid the most stunning Arctic nature.
The dogs has limits to what they can pull. This means we might have to adapt seating arrangements to the capabilities of the dogs.
One husky team can handle 2 adults and 2 children per sled. One adult will drive the sled, the other one can sit with the children. Halfway through the tour you can change drivers.
If the size, weight or amount of the participants in a group exceed the capacity of the team, we will offer to have the older children or adults join the guides sled or cart.
